• Shepherd's Pie

A classic British comfort food casserole that consists of two distinct layers: a savory minced meat filling on the bottom, and a creamy, baked mashed potato crust on top. The meat is usually mixed with aromatic vegetables such as onions and carrots. Other common additions are peas and sometimes celery or corn. The filling is held together by a rich gravy or sauce made from beef broth, thickened, and seasoned heavily with rosemary, thyme, Worcestershire sauce and tomato paste.
